Tilanus
Tilanus is a Green, he is not different from anyone else, he has three eyes, a nostril, four legs and two arms, Tilanus know of people born with horrible deformities although he never saw anyone like it, as they are not allowed to live among the normals. His species name is not Green but Caton, that divides itself between Green and Blue. There isn't much difference between Green and Blues everybody has a Green and a Blue parent, their copulation leaves both pregnant, or would, but Blues usually use a form of protection the prevents that, the copulation between people of the same color is biologically impossible. Tilanus doesn't quite know why, as this type of information is only learned in high forms of education, only offered to Blues.
Tilanus knows that two people of the same color having any form of sexual relationship is punishable by death by stepping and condemning of your eternal light, what remains even after your death. Tilanus doesn't have a eternal light, because he is a Green his only function in society is to serve his husband being faithful and obeying his commands. If a Green is a good husband he may win a spark on his death and be allowed to follow his husband to the next world. There are people that doesn't believe on the sacred teaching but only on very far lands, to proclaim such thing here is also punishable by their death and of all of their descents as well, so even if he heard about such things Tilanus would never repeat it, he want to give good children to his husband and wouldn't be right that a error of his to condemn the children of his husband.
Not that he has a husband yet, his parents are still in negotiation for his marriage and Tilanus hopes for a good patient husband that doesn't punishes him too much for his mistakes, Tilanus has a friend, Larraca, also a Green of course, who's husband is not so patient and the Green is always hurt now that he is married, what is strange because Larraca was never so propense to mistakes before getting married.
He also hopes that his husband have a good family , Tilanus had a Green brother, Tilus, but the family of his husband wasn't very good, there were a Blue cousin who was caught having copulation with Tilus, his brother said that he was forced to it but the cousin said to the contrary and nobody believes in the word of a Green over a Blue, the Blue said that he was unfairly tempted by the green husband of his cousin and was condemned to pay a fine, Tilus was condemned to death by stepping, people from the afar lands came and tried to convince the Authority that Tilus didn't deserve to die and to let them take Tilus away instead of killing him, they were not heard. Tilanus misses his brother, is like a piece of him missing that cause a pain that can't be explained, that is why he likes the people from afar, even if they have weird ideas like believing that animals are related to the Caton, just because they look alike. He thinks that the people from afar can have good intentions sometimes and wishes that they were right in relation to his brother not needing to die.
